More about Target-Date funds and some of the changes taking place in that subset of the industry (ie. more diversification, addition of TIPs to some of them, etc).  Zvi Bodie “applauds some of the changes”.  Of course, Bodie thinks that most people should back up the truck and load up on TIPs even though they have almost non-existent real returns right now.  The key, as I’ve said before, is knowing your asset allocation requirements, choosing good index funds to use for implementation, and keeping turnover and especially expenses low.  A few target-date funds work fabulously for this kind of strategy, and a lot of them stink.
